About Brian Arthur

Artistic mastery, structural perfection, and reverence for our vanishing natural world: these are the hallmarks of the Living Series of naturalistic bronzes by noted British sculptor Brian Arthur. Whether gracefully fluid in motion or magnificently majestic in repose, these maquette-sized sculptures of exotic waterfowl, dolphins, sea lions, and more serve as inspiring reminders of the living art that exists as he has captured nature’s grace in beautiful bronze work.

He began his career in the English pottery country of Staffordshire. After graduating in sculpture and art history from Southport College of Arts, he pursued his study of form and structure at the Burstein School of Industrial Design.

At Chelsea Pottery in London, he trained in hand thrown sculpture and ornamental design. When this prestigious studio opened a branch in the Bahamas, Brian was selected to assist other craftsmen and artists to produce pottery which has been sold in the finest stores in America.

His works, in a variety of media, took him to France and Italy, but returned to collaborate on commemorative public sculptures including Harry S. Truman monuments in Washington D.C.

Mr. Arthur's work is shown in galleries throughout North America. He has studios in Southern California and Devon England.
